Crugex is only as strong as the community behind it. These guidelines exist to keep our community a place where every Indian student feels safe, respected, and empowered to learn.
Four principles that guide every community interaction on Crugex.
Treat every member of our community with dignity. Disagreements are fine — disrespect is not.
The goal of every interaction is to help someone learn. Answers should be accurate, kind, and constructive.
Share real experiences, real knowledge. Don't copy-paste from AI tools without attribution. Don't fake credentials.
No promotional links, no self-promotion disguised as help, no repetitive posts across multiple threads.
Our moderation team reviews reports daily. We believe in proportionate enforcement — education over punishment where possible.
Formal warning via direct message. Content removed.
7-day posting suspension. Community access maintained.
Permanent ban from community features. Account remains active for learning.
“A student posts a vague question: 'How do I get a job?'”
Instead of deleting it, a moderator or community member should guide them: 'Great question! Can you tell us what field you're interested in? More context helps us give you better answers. In the meantime, check out our Internships section.'
“A user posts the same question across 5 different threads.”
Remove duplicate posts. Send a warning: 'We noticed you've posted the same question multiple times. Please search before posting — your question may already be answered. Repeated spam will result in a temporary ban.'
“A user answers questions with AI-generated content without attribution.”
Edit the answer to add a label: '[This answer was generated with AI assistance]'. First offense gets a warning; repeated offenses result in a 7-day posting suspension.
“A user is consistently disrespectful in comments.”
Issue a formal warning via DM. If behavior continues: 24-hour posting suspension. Third offense: permanent ban from community features.
